The general categories require the participating practice to have a registered office/practice in Karnataka. The Young Architects category is an exception and permits the registered practice to be located anywhere in India.
Projects must have been completed during the period 2022 to 2026.
No. Ongoing or incomplete projects are not eligible.
No. Projects cannot be submitted by an architect or practice that did not undertake the project. This restriction is intended to avoid copyright, authorship and ownership disputes.
Yes, provided you were substantially involved in the project and have the explicit permission of the firm to submit it.
The firm responsible for the project must be identified in the registration, and the submission must not imply that you independently own or operate the practice.
Yes, but only with the explicit permission of the firm to which the project belongs.
Yes. There will be one Primary Applicant, and the other architects, designers and team members who contributed to the project may be mentioned as team members.
Categories A–D: The Primary Applicant must be a COA registered architect.
Category E – Interior Design: The Primary Applicant must be a designer.
Category F – Beyond Architecture: Open to all eligible participants.
Young Architects: The Primary Applicant must be an architect with COA registration
No. If a project is submitted under the Young Architects category, the same project cannot also be submitted under the corresponding regular architectural category.
The category is open to the Principal Architect / Owner of the firm, provided they are 40 years of age or below.
For the Young Architects category, the registered practice may be located anywhere in India.
The Primary Applicant must have COA registration
The applicant must be 40 years of age or below as on 15 August 2026 (Born on or after 16 August 1985).
Age eligibility relates to the applicant, not the age of the project or the applicant’s age when the project was completed.
Age verification will be carried out as part of the eligibility assessment, and documentary proof of age may be required.
No. The Young Architects category is open to architects whose registered practice is located anywhere in India.
Yes. For the general categories, the practice must have a registered Karnataka office.
Acceptable documentation may include:
- GST Registration Certificate
- Firm Registration Document
- Official Government Registration or other appropriate statutory documentation
The organisers may request additional documentation where necessary.
Yes, provided you are the Primary Applicant, have a valid IIA-KC membership, and meet the eligibility requirements for the project.
The IIA-KC member fee is applicable to the Primary Applicant’s individual membership.
Membership cannot be transferred or used on behalf of another applicant.
No. The IIA-KC member fee is applicable only when the Primary Applicant has a valid IIA-KC membership.
Membership cannot be transferred or used on behalf of another applicant.
Yes. COA-registered architects who are not yet IIA-KC members may apply for membership through the membership link provided on the portal.
New IIA-KC members may avail themselves of the applicable IIA-KC member participation fee, subject to successful completion of their membership registration.
Yes, provided all collaborating practices consent to the submission.
There must be only one Primary Applicant, identified and agreed upon by the collaborating practices. The other participating practices and team members may be appropriately identified in the Fact File.
No. A project cannot be submitted merely because a practice has subsequently acquired, taken over or otherwise obtained control of another practice or project.
The original project authorship must be respected.
The primary use of the building will determine the appropriate category.
Participants should select the category that best represents the principal use and nature of the project.
The Organisers or The Jury may consider moving an entry to another category if it believes that the project is more appropriately placed there.
The applicant may either accept the change or withdraw the entry.
If neither option is accepted, the project will be disqualified.
The standard fees are:
- IIA-KC Members: ₹3,000 + GST per entry
- Non-IIA-KC Members: ₹4,500 + GST per entry
- Young Architects: ₹2,000 + GST per entry
- Interior Designers & Other Participants: ₹4,500 + GST per entry
- Architecture Students – Beyond Architecture: ₹1,000 + GST per entry
Yes. A consolidated fee cap applies to three or more entries:
- IIA-KC Members: ₹6,750 + GST
- Non-IIA-KC Members: ₹10,125 + GST
- Interior Designers & Other Participants: ₹10,125 + GST
These are total consolidated fees, not per-entry fees.
The applicable fee remains capped at the above amount even if the participant submits more than three entries.
Yes. A participant may combine entries across different eligible categories to reach the three-entry threshold.
The entries must, however, be submitted by the same Primary Applicant.
No. Entries cannot be pooled between different Primary Applicants.
The three-or-more-entry fee applies to entries submitted by the same Primary Applicant.

- GST details, where applicable
- Firm/practice details and proof of registration
- Award category
- Project name
- Team members
- Project location
- Constructed/property area
- Project duration and completion details
Additional verification documents may be requested where necessary.
After the Fact File is completed and payment is successfully made, a Unique Identification Number (UID) will be issued for that particular entry and category.
The UID is unique to that entry and cannot be used for another entry or category.
No. The submitted entry must be completely anonymous. Only the UID may be used as an identifier. Participants MUST NOT include:
- Their name
- Firm/practice name
- Firm logo
- IIA membership number
- Any other identifying mark or information
- Hyperlinks or website addresses
Any identifying information may result in cancellation of the entry.
No. Any information that can identify the participant, practice or authorship of the project should be excluded from the anonymous submission.
The UID must be the only identifying reference.
A maximum of three landscape sheets may be submitted for each entry. Each sheet must be:
- 16,000 × 9,000 pixels
- JPG format
- Maximum 24-bit colour
- Maximum 33 MB per sheet
The combined size of the three sheets must not exceed 100 MB.
Yes. Presentations may be in colour, monochrome or a combination of both.
Full-bleed compositions are also permitted.
For projects involving substantial rehabilitation, conservation, restoration or adaptive reuse, and for entries under the Interior Design category, the submission must include documentation and images showing the condition of the structure or space before the work was undertaken.
Additional weightage may be given to Rehabilitation, Conservation, Restoration or Adaptive Reuse projects.
Yes. Participants must submit a self-attested declaration confirming the originality of the project, its completion within the stipulated period, and that no action is pending before any statutory authority concerning irregularities in the project.
Yes. The Jury or organisers may request additional information or supporting material from shortlisted participants, including project videos, photographs, drawings, reports or other relevant documentation.
The evaluation takes place in two stages.
Stage 1: A distinguished Panel of Jurors assesses eligible entries and shortlists projects.
Stage 2: The shortlisted projects are presented to the final Jury at LATITUDE 2026, where the winners are selected.
Yes. The Jury may decide to confer or not confer an Award in any category, depending on the quality and number of eligible entries.
The Jury may also determine the number and type of recognitions to be given.
Categories with an insufficient number of eligible entries may be cancelled at the discretion of the organisers.
Yes. If incorrect information, misrepresentation, statutory violations or other material discrepancies are brought to the attention of IIA-KC and supported by documentary evidence, the organisers may withdraw or cancel the entry or Award in consultation with the Jury.
No. An Award does not legalise, regularise or validate the statutory status of a project.
Yes. If the primary applicant is unable to attend, a nominated representative may receive the Award on their behalf, subject to prior notification to the organisers.
